Ms. Cyrus joined the Laboratory Charter School Family during the 2021- 2022 as the Physical Education Teacher for the 2021-2022 Academic School year. Ms. Cyrus started her Teaching Career with Philadelphia Department of Parks and Recreation where she held the position as  Computer Instructor/Adult Education  Teacher. Ms. Cyrus taught Physical Education for over 5 years with various Philadelphia Charter Schools . Ms. Cyrus served the Philadelphia School District for two years as Teacher Assistant. 

Ms. Cyrus was born and raised in Germantown by an amazing single mom. Sports, Family and Education is the core essence of who Ms. Cyrus is and what she believes in. She was raised by a single mother who provided her an opportunity to engage in Philadelphia Parks and Recreation.  It is there that she learned how to play sports and build relationships with people. Ms. Cyrus received her Associates Degree from Community College of Philadelphia. After graduating from there Ms. Cyrus went on to Cheney University of Pennsylvania where she followed her first  passion which is recreation and received her Bachelor’s Degree of Recreation and Leisure Management. After receiving her Bachelors she went on to receive her Master’s of Education Leadership from Cheyney University as well. 

 Ms. Cyrus’ passion for education came at an early age from her mother. Education is who Ms. Cyrus is and what she stands for. Growing up in Parks&Rec shaped who Ms. Cyrus is today. Ms. Cyrus is also a loving Mother of an amazing five year old daughter. And soon to be wifey. Family is everything to Ms. Cyrus.
